Mela 60
Mela 60 focuses on Indo-Western clothing and looking at how Indian and Western cultures influence each other. Within this project I explored one-piece pattern cutting, inspired by the saris worn at the Kumbh Mela festival, as well as print design, creating my own prints as well as collaborating with a textile student. My aim was to create a range of fun but practical menswear and womenswear to be worn at the Woodstock 50th Anniversary Festival.
