SHORTS
Creating the perfect shorts for Lucky was great fun and allowed me to further develop my design and construction skills. I created CADS to give Lucky an idea of the print scales he could go for as well as the shape of the shorts I had designed, based on a reference pair he sent me a photo of. We decided to go with the larger print as this was more impactful and the small details, such as the pub sign, would be seen more clearly. I then created a toile of the shorts which Lucky tried on so I could ensure he was happy with the fit, before making the final pairs of shorts.

CUSHIONS
I was also asked to make four 40cm x 40cm cushions for the pub interior out of the Falmouth print. As they were for the pub I ensured that the Pennycomequick illustration that I featured on my print was prominent on at least one side of the cushion. A large scale version of the print was used so that the cushions had a big impact, contrasting the neutral interior of the pub as well as making sure that all of the intricate details of the print were clearly visible to anyone looking at the cushions from a distance.
